Foreign Language Department Grading Policy
Grading Scale Major Grades: 50%
Minor Grades 50% (Quizzes 30%, Daily Work 20%)
Late Work For Major Assessments (Tests and Projects) One day late: grade can be up to maximum of 90
Two days late: grade can be up to maximum of 80
Three days late: grade can be up to maximum of 70
More than three days late: maximum grade of 50.
All work must be turned in by PENULTIMATE (next-to-last) week of each grading period.**
For Minor Assessments (Quizzes and Daily Work) One day late: maximum grade of 80
More than one day late: maximum grade of 70
All work must be turned in by PENULTIMATE (next-to-last) week of each grading period.**
Retests Students receiving a grade of 75 or below on a test will be allowed to retest for up to a maximum grade of 80, provided that the student comes in for tutoring.
** Teacher discretion allowed.
